A 20-Something Makes a Mint (and Sells It to Intuit) (via @davidrdesign)

In a technology company, if you let up just a couple of years in your innovation, that’s all the gap a competitor needs. That’s what happened with Intuit. They ignored and neglected Quicken from about 2002 to 2008, and that was enough of a gap to give rise to Mint. If I back off even for a second, someone is going to come along with something better.

Vinyl LPs make a comeback (via @mediaReDEF)

Wal-Mart and Amazon both recently added LPs for sale on their websites. Soundscan reports 2.2 million units of vinyl sold this year, already above 2008's figure, with the holiday shopping season ahead. Last year's vinyl sales -- more than 2 million units -- were the most since Nielsen SoundScan started tracking them in 1991.

Hope Panasonic is paying attention.
